A daemon that assumes 24 hours drifts out of step with the ladder it drives. Epoch length is a protocol parameter. It has changed before, and a harvester that schedules on wall-clock time will eventually harvest a day early — which realises exactly nothing, because Sui values a withdrawal at the activation-epoch exchange rate.
